I was fortunate enough to take over The Lindenhof Bed & Breakfast in the fall of 2018, a B&B that was already well established and loved by many over the years. My hope is to continue to enhance the property and accommodations and to help create an environment that will allow you to relax and enjoy your time here in the greater St. Louis area. I am grateful to call beautiful historic Augusta, Missouri my home.
Breakfast
In the morning, you’ll enjoy joining the rest of the guests in the dining room for a leisurely and memorable meal. You may be surprised to see where your conversation may take you.
Help yourself to coffee or tea and take a stroll around Augusta before breakfast, or slip into the hot tub. I do try and accommodate everyone’s schedule for breakfast time within reason.
I have carried on some of the many distinctive dishes that have been served over the years at The Lindenhof Bed & Breakfast but have created some new ones as well.
Some of the house specialties are French Toast stuffed with cream cheese and then topped with fresh berries, shirred egg dish with spinach and Havarti cheese, seasonal fruit pancakes with chia flax and hemp seed, Eggs Blackstone (like eggs benedict with a twist), and the list goes on. I always strive to do seasonal dishes to include fresh vegetables and fruits whenever possible.
Accompaniments are sausage patties, ham or bacon with turkey substitutes. Also, I may serve breakfast salads, eggs, oatmeal dishes, yogurts, granola, toast with homemade preserves from the orchard just down the road….and of course, coffee, tea and juice.
Some days I lean more towards the indulgent side of breakfast, more so in the winter months. So, if you have a preference, please make a notation on the reservation. I do try to accommodate all dietary restrictions and preferences whenever possible.
